Story
Hallowed Ground Counseling is a non-profit counseling ministry started by Grace Bible Church in Hollidaysburg, PA. After seeing so much hurt in the Blair County community, Pastor Michael Stuart identified the need for a counseling center that integrates biblical truth and clinical expertise. After bringing together some key individuals who had a heart and passion for Christian mental health care, a board was formed to begin to create Hallowed Ground Counseling. After much prayer and many meetings, the board approached the church and presented on Hallowed Ground Counseling. Grace Bible ultimately voted to support such a ministry and thus Hallowed Ground Counseling was born and formed in December of 2024.
At Hallowed Ground Counseling, our mission is to provide compassionate and professional counseling services grounded in Biblical truth, creating a sacred space where individuals can experience healing, growth, and restoration. We are committed to helping clients navigate life’s challenges with a Christ-centered approach, integrating faith and clinical expertise to support emotional, spiritual, and mental well-being. As we seek to provide holistic care to treat the whole person, we embrace the truth of 1 Thessalonians 5:23-24, believing that God desires to heal individuals completely – mind, soul, and body – keeping them blameless as they journey toward wholeness in Christ. We trust that He who calls us is faithful to guide each individual through their process of healing and restoration.
